It was a great pleasure to join the fantastic Art&Graft team as a 3D artist to help bring this beautiful film to life.
Made By Dyslexia is a short animated film created for the global charity Made By Dyslexia. It aims to help children and parents understand
that dyslexia is not a “disorder” or “word-blindness”, but a different way of thinking that comes with its own unique talents.
My role as a 3D artist on this project involved:
Building the 3D scenes for each shot.
Importing animation data from Cinema 4D and Maya into Blender.
Texturing the characters and scenes to achieve a traditional 2D look in Blender, mainly using two add-ons: Paint System and Brushstroke Tools. Almost all the characters, scenes and props were hand-painted in Blender.
Lighting the scenes in Blender.
