My resolution in 2024 was to create a short film over a minute.
In early 2023, CEKAI, an agency based in Tokyo contacted me about displaying some of my artwork on the large Signage monitor at the Midtown Yaesu building, alongside with 2 other artists. I decided to create a new short film for this. I developed the story and handled all the modeling, texturing, and rigging in about three weeks. It was a tight project, but I learned a great deal, and Amazing Mutant Jukebox (@mjkbx) created an incredible sound design for it! This is the first animation I made entirely with Blender.

Making

The main challenge of this project was creating everything in Blender. It was my first time completing an entire project within Blender, and although the learning curve was steep at moments, it was incredibly valuable. By the end, I felt significantly more confident and efficient with the toolset. I also had to complete the project within a three-week timeline, which was a fairly tight deadline. Fortunately, it was early January and my schedule was relatively quiet, so once the story was in place, the production moved quickly.
